Sometimes all a person needs to enjoy a full and independent life is a little assistance with routine daily activities. Other times, substantial personal care is required.

You Will Feel Like Family
Baycrest Village’s Catered Living Suites are staffed by caregivers who have been carefully selected. Their goal is to help our residents achieve maximum independence. The caregivers serve in a wide variety of ways, such as assistance with housekeeping, laundry, personal care and medication management.

Personal care and support services are also available. An initial assessment is completed prior to move-in, evaluated after 30 days and then again as needed to meet your personal care and service needs. Additional care and services, beyond what is included in your base rent, will be individually calculated using our point system assessment tool. The number of points is based upon the services required and amount of time it takes for staff to provide these services. You can review our assessment system and learn how the point system works.


Services included in the monthly base rent:

• Three meals each day
• Friendly reminders
• Washing of personal laundry one time each week
• Health monitoring and promotion
• Scheduled transportation
• Scheduling of physician appointments
• Social and recreational programs
• Emergency call system in each suite
• Twenty-four hour beverages and snacks
• All utilities (except cable TV and personal telephone)
• Routine suite maintenance

Additional services may include:

• Assistance with bathing
• Assistance with dressing
• Assistance with grooming and hygiene
• Monitoring individual mealtime needs
• Assistance to and from dining and other activities
• Personal laundry as needed
• Medication management
• Personal shopping
